Our team is from beautiful Greenville, SC. We have all worked in both design and development, but for this project our roles were 2 frontend developers, 1 backend developer, and 1 designer.
Watch, comment, and react to videos together. See others react while they watch the video in realtime with you.
We've all had the experience of sharing a video with someone else and enjoying their reactions as much as the video itself. Watch Party brings this experience to your web browser. Watch, comment, and react to videos together. See others react while they watch the video in realtime with you. Browse featured videos by top emoji reactions, or find videos by specific emotions. You can also share your favorite YouTube videos with others by creating your own watch party.

Great design! nothing innovative, but feels good

Reminds me a lot of SoundCloud's system for commenting on audio streams.
Looks spectacular, though, and the subtle animation on the video posters is a really nice touch.

Super fun. I spent 20 minutes watching videos and reacting. Very user-friendly with great UI.

This app is gorgeous, all of the animations are really slick. I also really like being able to have reactions to videos without using facebook's (much less attractive) UI

Very cool, love the ux!

Dude... 48 hours. Amazing work. Love to see what else this team can do in the future :D
Nathan Hoad (Participant)
This looks really cool :)
Marifel Barbasa (Participant)
Incredible work on the concept, the design, the emoji animation as the video plays, and the featured videos!
Alex Barry (Participant)
I think collaboration that is stupid simple is the best kind of innovation. You guys nailed it. Good job!

This was a smooth experience, though having some sort of reference of what this site is and does on the site itself(maybe it was there but not easy to find) would be helpful. I also would have liked the option for a watch party to be invite-only. I don't like the video and reactions to be public by default, if only because I like having the choice of who/whether I interact with other people online. I don't really care about whether the video itself if public. Fun experience overall!

Awesome project. Looks and works very slick!

Georgous site. The only thing I'm not 💯 fond of is the messaging - "watch videos together" made me think I could sync the videos with my friends. That said, I wasn't disappointed that that wasn't the case - absolutely FANTASTIC application.

Amazingly well done for a hackathon! Best ui/design so far! great idea/design/product/implementation. Love to see this up for real! Nitpicks -
1) you may want to centrally align the "+" icon in the add video button.
2) first time user ends up thinking that their video/reaction will be public but that is not the case, may want to figure out how to address that.

really cool idea and very well implemented - i did give my little 2010 MBP a bit of a heart attack but I think that's mostly chrome being a ram-hungry behemoth.
Ashish Chaudhary (Participant)
Design is pretty cool.
Matt McKellar-Spence (Participant)
Really nice, easy to use design and I think the sharing features are a great selling point.
The screencast did a really good job of showing off the features and usage.
Lilly Piri (Participant)
This is a fun idea!! I really like the use of emojis :)
